Zoiper supports All core low bandwidth codecs. G729 which uses the device CPU is supported and AMR is also. Note AMR is hardware accelerated on iPhones 4-6 therefore battery life is increased but you must have AMR support on the service provider end to use it. AMR is the standard GSM network audio codec used by all GSM phones globally.

I love this app because it follows me everywhere. The sound is clean, always.

App crushes periodically with callcentric sip info

After latest update, nobody can hear what Im saying anymore. I checked and my app still has permission to access microphone. So it seems like its always on mute for some reason. So became useless app.

Been playing around with this and the premium version for a few days. LOVE the iax support! And connectivity size it has worked great to whether at home or on 3G. Multiple account support is great too. Notifications when receiving calls tho leaves much to be desired. It doesnt actually trigger a "ring" as you would expect, one single short buzz and (if not on vibrate) a fairly quiet ringtone is played, thats it. It also doesnt seem to wake up a screen that is asleep. Long story short, unless you have the app open and the screen on, you will likely miss calls. Looking forward to inprovements in this area with future releases.

The new update cant use IM anymore, needs fix right away.

Ever since a couple updates ago, most calls are soundless. Their last update report specify that this issue should have been fixed, but it is not 100% apparently. I used to have only soundless calls, but now I also have one way sound issue. I also have this weird problem where the Zoiper app in the background emits weird intermittent creaking and crackle noises on the speaker or headset. I have to open up the App or kill it so that the noises stop. Too bad I just had purchases the G729 and XFER,CONF,etc. in-app couple weeks before...

There are still bugs, but with the recent speaker and volume level fixes, this software is the best for iOS. I would choose no other. Other VoIP apps are mostly tailor-made for their Hosted PBX services, but Zoiper is highly configurable for those who want to connect to their private PBX or any SIP trunk for that matter. TCP/TLS is broken. An no, zoiper support, Its not my providers fault. It works on my ATA just fine.
